Finally, it is the weekend. Not that anything eventful happens these days, but its still refreshing to awake on a Saturday morning without any plan in mind. I'm still reading Jane Eyre, have yet to finish it. I'm anticipating the arrival of Mr. Rochester anytime, he seems like those manly mysterious figures. Uncannily like Mr Darcy from Pride and Prejudice, hopefully with a more lovable personality. Haha. Off to lunch for now. Adieu.
the charms of adventure sweeten that sensation, the glow of pride warms it, but then the throb of fear disturbs it-Jane Eyre

I just realised that I haven't been blogging in a long time. Last entry was like what at the beginning of this month? Goshies. Haha, shoot me and my procastinating nature. At last, I can finally take a breather for my exams are over! Goodbye to a really busy June of attending camps, tuition and of course, the old recurrent favourite-studying. I can't tell you how good it feels to have the liberty of the next few days at my disposal. Its unrestrainedly amazing, I tell you.
Lately, I've noticed with weary reluctance that well, things are not the way they were. You can admonish me for clinging on to the past, but pangs of nostalgia remind me how the past used to be more welcoming than the present. Its funny how friends drift apart-to the extent that conversations border on the verge of awkwardness. Perhaps its me and my paranoid ways, but then again, isn't there a wee possibility that we have run out of things to talk about? Ironic how time flew in the yesterdays, yet today is a painstakingly agonising crawl round the clock.
Nostalgic strikes again.

11:00 PM
Today's morning was possible the only productive part of the day, spent at Econs tuition. Since it was organised by NUS TLS, there are quite a lot of Indians attending, many of whom were from UPTLC. I guess in a way, the tuition enables me to keep in touch with all my friends from there. Seeing Rheyvathi and Sangee today really brought back a lot of memories spent at the rundown yet nostalgic uptlc at serangoon. Talking to them, I rmber how my sec school days were spent travelling from ij after school to uptlc in 15 mins or so to attend lessons. But more importantly, I rmber how fun it was to learn Tamil in such a condusive envt. And I dun just mean the teachers. I refer to all the friendly and open classmates of mine, who really made learning fun and enjoyable. Moreover, if felt good to converse in Tamil with them after not having spoken so long. I guess thats a downside of my JC-not all of them are very interested in their Mother Tongue and culture-ish ppl. But I'm cool with it. There are always other oppotunities like my tuition to do so.
My LTC Experience

Basically, I spent my entire second week of June hols at LTC. If I could use just one word to sum up my entire experience, well, I guess is was fabuloustically-awesomemicilious. If theres such a word. Cos thats exactly how I feel. Attending the camp made me realise the beauty of each person as a leader because it was obvious that LTC brought out the best in everyone.
Firstly, I would like to thank my group MATCHSTICKS consisting of members Jon, Wei Wen, KC, Toon Jin, Matthias, Guanwen, Wei Qi, Shan, Su, Ya Hui, Nerissa, Guin and not forgetting our facil Wei Xin. You guys definitely made LTC memorable for me, as we really got to know each other better over the four days. I'm really impressed by the fact that we had almost no conflict arising in grp. Not to mention really touched by all the comments that I received in the pink slip of paper( which I left with Su).
I guess I really benefitted from this camp as it brought out a side of me which I never really knew existed. Usually camps are not really my cup of tea, because I tend to be apprehensive about meeting total strangers and all. But interestingly, the fact that our group was the slightly serious grp actually brought out the funner side of me that I usually reserve for closer friends. Like all the lame jokes( read: cooler joke) that I was cracking up which I found funny. Sadly, the rest didn't. Haha. Oh and I also enjoyed all the mini games that we played on the bus rides to Macritchie and SHINES, even though I didn't get the bang bang bang game until like today, when you guys told me. SO A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL. YOU GUYS ROCK.
Another memorable thing for me was the punishment aspect that we all were involved in, esp when the entire LTC ppl did pushups together with Captain Planet. The fact that everyone obligingly and stoically undertook the punishement without complaining as an ENTIRE COLLEGE really tugged at my heartstrings because it really gelled us together. It made me learn that as leaders, you should put aside your personal interest for the betterment of the entire organisation you work for. Even if you are reluctant to do so, you should just spur yourself on to do it. Cos you are the leader. As the name implies, you should lead. I actually didn't really feel the physical fatigue at the end of it, because I had this warm fuzzy CJ spirit thingamajig in me. And I could tell it wasn't just me alone, cos during dinner everyone was a lot more friendlier and warmer. In a way, the punishment we all did kind of uplifted everyone's spirits. That made me inspired. Really. Because its amazing how we managed to turn something so solemn into a college bonding activity-I guess its part of the CJ culture. Impressive.
Theres so many things I wanna say abt LTC right now, but Im really tired and I have exciting (note the sarcasm) Econs tuition tmr, so I guess I'll save the rest for later.
THANK YOU MATCHSTICKS!
