Thank you very very very very much D, for finding my calculator. It was once lost, but now it has been found. Coincidentally, today's sermon reading on was seeking and finding, so I guess it fits the bill.
On a random note, my Saturday was suprisingly productive.
I typed out all the minutes for this week and sent it to everyone. Feeling very accomplished, but have yet to do my Eom and homework though.
Still, managed to get something done, and it makes me proud.

Oh the pleasure of Friday! I experienced a wonderful closure to the end of the week, a sweetly uplifting feeling that one can only get on Fridays. We started school late because of the PAC-LRC opening last night, which I must mention, went without a hitch. Considering the fact that it is the first event organised by CA by us the inexperienced lot(ok fine, maybe just me), but we pulled it off! Even though I was traumatised momentarily when I went to borrow the blazer from the office and was told that they had run out of S, M and L. I was like. WHAT. THE. FISHCAKE. The XL was HUMUNGOUS. The sleeves extended beyond my palms, for goodness. I was the Grim Reaper. With a ponytail. But of course, dear ol Shan was ever at my rescue-she had already borrowed one for me. So I only have her to thank for not looking like a scarecrow.
PAC concert was awesome :4/5 stars! Especially enjoyed Dance's SYF piece, which I thought was commendable chereography. Eye-catching costumes of scarlet, together with the ever-graceful performers made for an entertaining watch. Choir was quite good as well, really liked the Sarba Dance on a Chair, which was sprightly.
Although we ended at ten-ish and my toes were screaming mercy from the heels(thank God I wasn't born in the era of foot-binding), I was nonetheless wonderfully tired, to quote Petra.
Kudos to council for a well-organised event, and to CA too for the smooth prayer service.

In the words of Haowen,
life sucks.Here's 5 reasons why:
- I'm still doing my EOM cos it got rejected for the second time.
- For the past weeks, I have been sleeping way past midnight.
- I was late for morning mass today, and I was supposed to lead it.
- I think I'm going deaf in my right ear, cos I find myself straining to hear what other say when they stand on my right. Not to mention the fact that the radio on my hp sounds mufffled in one ear while its BLASTING in the other, ceteris paribus.
- I have not touched my books at all and the promos are just around the corner
In moments like these, you just know you need help in the form of divine intervention.
HELP.

Losing your calculator can be majorly depressing. More so now, since the finanical situation is quite bad atm.
I think its time I made St.Anthony my patron saint. Or was it Saint.Jude? Can't remember.

I have a million things to accomplish over the weekend. But sadly, none of them seem to evolve around schoolwork. No worries for now, I'm in a procrastination high.
This is a nice song, loved listening to it in my secondary school days.

Anger and jealousy can no more bear to lose sight of their objects than love.
I hate being jealous. I really do. But sometimes, it just can't be helped. I really should get rid my possessive nature. It consumes me that sometimes, even I feel overwhelmed by it. Especially when I get jealous for the wrong reasons. There is no logic at all. I thought I moved on already. And now I stand corrected. The past is a mysterious thing. I never will understand it, the only thing I can do is reminicse. And yes, seek help. Jealousy is not a constructive emotion, and it doesn't help that those involved are just not worth it.
Be careful, your mother-in-law may be passing by.

Yesteraday marked the Racial Harmony Day celebrations. And as usual, CJ undeniably did it in style. You should have seen the number of people who turned up in ethnic costumes, esp from the Arts Classes. Majority of the people in my class wore saris/qipaos/thai/malay costumes as well, so it was really fun. I guess the highlight of the day was the Bhangra performance, and the food of course! Concert was quite entertaining, I never rly knew there was a difference between Punjabi and Indian until I was enlighteded. I am so ashamed of myself. Lol.
FOOD! So much to buy, so little money. As usual, my allowance was running out. And of course, my mother being the understanding person that she is, only gave me coins. So I had to naturally discern what I wanted to buy, even though the canteen was a minefield of temptations I tell you.
Sadly, lessons resumed after break and we had a Geog lecture. Which was hilarious. But then again, Mr Teh's lectures/tutorials always are.

More of this another time. Below is an excerpt of the conversation with Deb on the way home-
Moss: I really dunno man, I hope I he pays me my money back.
Deb: Huh? But isnt he a guy?
Moss: Haha, yeah. So?
Deb: Guys are supposed to pay girls back their money when they owe them. But its okay if you are a girl.
Moss: (laughs)
If only all men would think like sweet Deb.

This was yesterday's update.
Today is the day. Yes indeed. Big memorable day for the 41 of us. Memory making in the process. Yes, our installation. And as usual ,what other moss way to start than to arrive late. How ever-so-typical of me. To arrive fashionable late. I really need to work on my punctuality. But turns out that there was no pre-rehearsal or anything. Which was a relief. But I was very very nervous. Firstly, my heels were high and I was unaccustomed to it. Did I mention that I was an advocate of low comfy heels? I do agree, fellow women, that they make your thighs look slimmer but seriously, tolerating hours of pain just for the admiration from gawking men? I think not. Forgive me for being sexist, but I fing it shallow that some men judge women by the height of their heels. Which is something we should be ashamed of.
But I digress.
I arrived at the church, looking visibly flustered with my trademark shoebag. And extremely clumsy-footed too. Guin helped me with the blue ribbon in my hair. After which we basically hung around waiting for 1930 to come. I was increasingly apprehensive, dead worried for my loose shoes and the absence of my parents. Tried calling them, but mobiles were uncontactable. Typical. Sod's Law at work, I presume. Boredom decided to channel intself into a constructive outlet, resulting in yes, you guessed it, CAMWHORING! Not that I am an narcissist or anything, but these things tend to relieve stress. But of course, you can't blame me. I come from a generation that Googles itself, goodness.
Eventually, 1930 did come, together with His Grace and all the relevant people. But as usual, my family was nowhere to be seen. I gave up calling them. We walked in, in what I pray hoped was a graceful confident manner. If you heard clunky clumsy hobbles, it was probably yours truly. The word elegance probably never exists in my dictionary. And I doubt it ever will. So shoot me. I was really glad to see the turnout from cj and other jcs as well. Not to mention my wonderful classmates, who came despite the long Monday. It was indescribable. And as for the mass, it went without a hitch. Except for the part when his grace ended the sermon and he didn't really cue the emcee, so we spent a few minutes wondering what in the world were they waiting for.
I met up with long lost friends as well. Especially the SJI crowd in VJ, whom I last saw ages ago. Dejavu again. Nice. Reception was nice as well, but I still wished that I had eaten. The chicken wings looked good(superifical me), but then I couldn't resist camwhoring session with ca, so I passed it to my brother, who yes you guessed it, gobbled it all up. I went home ravenous, like gnawing at my innards. Haha.
But of course, as all good things must come to end, I ended up staying late at night at 1am doing EOM. Back to reality. Sigh.
Thank you to all who attended, and of course to marcus too, who was "there in spirit". Lol.
Our reunion long awaited

Today was a special day. No it had nothing to do with Friday the 13th, but it was the 4/3 class gathering! And boy, was it nice to actually get to meet all my lovely exclassmates after such a long time. While some of us have changed, some of us are pretty much still the same. And quite a number of people did turn up. Including ppl whom I never really thought would. But it was nice to see the class spirit. We ate at Central in Taka, and boy did the demand curve for that shop shif to the right! We wanted like 15 plus chairs, and we took up the entire middle section. Sadly, due to the geometrical properties of the RECTANGULAR table, we were kind of left out in the conversations on the other side of the table. Which was sad, bcos many of them were from different JCs and we missed the chance to catch up with them. But oh well, it was still time well spent together as a class. Its nice to know, that even after all these months, we are still pretty much Four Three Oh Six.
P.S. Thanks to mee pok for the souvenirs from Korea, and to Fishy for carrying my stuff. Oh and to guin too for allowing me to drag you along even though you were reluctant to. And all the rest of us who managed to come down for the outing!

My apologies. I owe the blog a long overdue update, specifically, for previous Saturday. So here it is. 070707 was one of those ultra special days in the year, with many important events all happening on the same day. One of which happened to be World Archdiocesan Youth Day. It was my first time going for such an event, and I was ushering with a whole bunch of cj ppl as well. So naturally, I had to report at the expo slightly before noon. I took the train with shan, and we met guin(quite late) at expo before walking the Looooong walk to hall 2. Seriously, what what were they thinking? Hello like hall 2 is at the OTHER side of the expo! We took forever walking from the mrt. Expo should consider those flat escalators, for the welfare of all. But then again, it is the expo after all. I ought not to complain.
Back to the story. Well, basically the first part of the day was spent placing a few thousand goody bags on the seats. It was such a major event, by the looks of it. Apparently, 25 Catholic parishes were attending that day, and the seats were divided into different districts. And my grp was doing city, which was ironically, quite a small grp of ppl. But that meant less work for us. Haha.
I guess I thoroughly enjoyed myself during that event, mainly because it provided an opportunity to bond and mingle with other cjcians and of course, other parishoniers as well. I managed to know a few other people whom I see ard school but don't really know. As for Youth Day itself, it was amazing! I especially enjoyed the skit, which was a contemporary adaptation of Jonah and the Big Fish. It was hilarious. I found myself laughing my head off during the whole play. It was also good to note that it wasn't one of those skits that aimed for cheap laughs, but one that made you reflect on your choice whether of not you want to follow God's calling. 4 stars for the play!(:
I also managed to say hello to a few of the people from Risen Christ as well. Their red banner was really obvious in the dark, so it facilitated my finding them. Although I was quite disappointed that I couldn't get to escort them to the bus back, it was quite fun ushering Nativity BVM with Gabreille, who is super funny btw.
Of course, by the time we actually finished ushering and clearing up, it was way past 11 and we were getting really exhausted. But it was well worth the effort I guess. Not to mention all the cip hours we would be getting. but that is not my motivation. No really. Haha. Mind you, I gained something more than just hours from this and I am eagerly looking forward to the next Youth Day. Many thanks to Shan for the ride home, and apologies to guin for being late.

Somehow, you just know those around you have grown up when you look at them in a photograph and can't seem to recognise them for a moment. That is when you have the sudden realization, that once upon your childhood, they were part of your life and you shared it with them. But now, that moment is over. Life goes on.
my sweet non-existent weekend.

Week 2 marked the start of school for all us CJCians. How exciting. I was immensely relieved that we will only be getting back our results for MYE next week. Frankly, my expectations weren't that high to begin with. And not much has changed after post-mortem was done for Geog today. Trust Mr Tay and his dark sense of humour. But then again, it takes one to know one.
Another reason to loathe the commencement of each new term: the deep hole it burns in your pocket. Yes, I refer to the overwhelming amount of money that is to be forked out for Maths notes, admin work, charity donations, class funds and what nots. I wryly note here that education comes at a price. Literally.
And oh my goodness, PTM is in two weeks' time. Coincidentally, on the same day that the Harry Potter book is coming out. Hmm. At this point, I can tell you that I reluctantly anticipate both. If only there was such a thing as the TimeTurner; how I wish to turn back time! But on second thought, being spontaneous is part of life as well. Que sera, sera.
