1001 things to do. And only 24 hours.
Let's see if we can squeeze three weeks worth of updates into one post.
To quote Fishy, alot has been happening, just no time to update.
Firstly, just want to start by saying thanks to 7-11 for the birthday surprise on that Monday. It was really sweet of you guys, and I'm very sorry I made everyone wait at the canteen. Thank you Guin Pe Ade Lynn Clarisse and Clara for the gifts(:
Church retreat was an eye-opener for me, in a good way. I guess I just realised that all this while I was thinking of how people have changed so much throughout the course of the entire year, that it didn' strike me how much I have changed. How I'm not the same person that I used to be back then. And I'm quite touched that all you guys think the same way too, and honoured that you feel proud of me. Thank you, the turnout was nice and cosy, the food was awesome(needless to say, Stef can cook) and the games and carolling were really hilarious. It was really a retreat for me in the sense that I actually managed to keep my mind off work/council/school/home for those 3 days. God is good(:
Council retreat. 18-20th. It was really fun as well, since its not all the time that the whole council gets together. Can't say I was enjoying myself, since Orientation planning took up the bulk of our time, but the affirmations were good. Gave everyone the warm fuzzie feeling and the much needed motivation for a new year ahead. I just want to let everyone know, that there's always sunshine after the rain. So to quote Rihana(her with the catchy voice), you can stand under my umbrella.
The snow is warm, the ice is hot. HAHAHA.
And of course, Congratulations to Anita and Ganesh on their wedding. I'm sure with God's grace, you guys would make an awesome couple(:
Band concert on Friday was GOOD. Band is GOOD. Team effort!
Don't be fooled by the number of smileys. This whole December has been quite rough too. Yesterday was my last day at work. I was really down about it, cos I won't be able to make it for the promoters' outing on the 27th, but I'm really grateful that God has given me this chance to work with the most friendliest bunch of ppl I'd ever meet in the corporate world. Thank you WT, for always cheering me/the others, WL for your baseball ways, Ibrahim for your hilarious mimicry of our floor managers, and of course not forgetting Slacker, Remote Control Girl, Yee Mun, Serena and Andy. And Alfred too. I'm really gonna miss working with you guys):
Whinings aside, HAPPY 17th BIRTHDAY PEPE(: Hope you had a great time on Sunday at your place and then dinner in town with us and your presents. You strong tough cookie!
Oh yes, Merry Christmas to everyone. Sorry if I didn't reply your sms, my free outgoing for this month is busted and I'm rationing my messages. Haha.
Okay, back to work. Fervour. I need to be in sch in 8 hours' time. Awesome.

Oh I forgot to add this, but on the ride home, I was looking outside the window and it was night. And suddenly there was like this spectacular display of stars (yes several of them at one go!) just within my view. Call me religious but it was like almost a sign from God (considering that it was my birthday) and I just felt inspired to make a wish. And right after I mentally wished, the stars just kind of faded into oblivion. Or maybe the bus just moved fast. All I know is there, I just had this really warm fuzzy feeling you get, when you know that someone up there and around you loves you.
It's the most awesomicilous feeling one can ever get.
And my bro is so sweet, he got me earrings with his savings. <3

Just got home from KL this morning at 1am. M'sia was awesome, I walked enough to make Standard Chartered marathon organisers to reconsider their planning. HAHA. Plus got some stuff too. And I got new shoes! Yay! Can't wait to start wearing them. Did I mention the food there is heavenly. I recall we ate at some roadside Chinese hawker stalls overlooking the KLCC and the Petronas towers and it was OMG. One can totally soak up the whole ambience there. At the same time, I observed certain traits about Msians that distinguishes them from S'poreans
1) The rush hour in KL is NOTHING I repeat NOTHING compared to the madrush you get here. We boarded the train at peak hour in the morning and getthis...there was no shoving, pushing, elbowing or obnoxious overtaking. Ppl were actually sauntering their way in. Wow, refreshing change huh.
2) Peddling of goods can be extremely competitive. Case in point: Chinatown. I mean try walking down the already teensy excuse for a walkway, coupled with customer hungry peddlers with their Ah Beng hair calling "Hello miss hello miss buy handbag/VCDVCD", plus really lousy weather. Not sexy, I tell you. Nonono.
3) Taxi drivers charge extorbitant rates for rides that take less than half an hour. Apparently the meter fare system is practised only by an honest few, since most of the cabbies usually asked for a flat rate, give or take.
4) The water pressure in the hotel showers are seriously commendable. It's like standing under the Niagara. Minus the pain. Makes you sleep like a baby.
On top of all this, I spent my birthday there!:D Actually I was intending to count to midnight so I decided to watch this movie called Elf which btw, was ridiculously hilarious. I was like LMAO all the way (but not very loud la, since my family was trying to sleep). Then I guess it was just exhaustion from shopping/walking that I switched off. The TV as well. Haha.
The only sad part about the trip was when on the bus home, my brown hairband dropped into The Land Beneath My Seat and it got lost and I couldn't find it): So I reached home and I was like superuber tired and I slept until 10am. After which I woke up for work and I was late today!):Thank goodness I don't use a punchcard. It was freaking crowded today. The floor felt like a can of sardines, I mean there was like a pram jam near my counter la. HAHA. And I didn't get my balloon sculpture from the lady!): This is like the third time I missed it la. I saw her making a woodpecker and a fairy like omg. Iwant! And I', happy because the Leapfrog guy is here to stay. He's like damn funny. Everyone here is like damn nice, I think I'm gonna have an emo moment on the 27th. And apparently everyone is gg for the outing and I still can't confirm with them. How sad is that. Ibrahim asked and I was like huh I can't confirm and he was like I'd put u on the waiting list. HAHA, right. Plus he was trying to be funny today, hiding and trying to boo! me from the shelves to scare me. Not to mention Andy, who was imitating the magician (who btw, has a script that he adheres to strictly, based on watching his performances during the weekend). Dinner with Ivena today, since it was her last day working and then she'd be off to Australia. Had a catch up session with her today, and I guess talking to her made me realise that people around u change with the times. Is that good or bad? I dunno.
I'm starting to feel the work blues, I hope we promoters stay intact man.
I guess God is good, because he makes some birthday wishes come true(:

Eyebags are unglam .Repeat. Trust mothers to rub it in. Lol. Been tired out lately, and the fact that my dietary preferences aren't exactly what one would call, erm, healthy isn't helping. As much as it pains me to say this, I'm quite liking work now with all the ultra nice promoters. Though I must say it was quite unexpected of the Leapfrog guy to just quite like that, he really hit it off with the bunch of us. And he only worked for 2 days! :/ Methinkgs thinks the job is jinxed, I mean there was a new guy yesterday and he already has plans of calling it quits. Maybe its the fengshui (shrugs).
Hooboy, Orientation. Half the committee absent, not to mention the teachers. Wow. We never had it easy, huh. But I guess we can make it work, with God(: I just know, its an obstacle laid out as a test of my faith. And I'm gna give it the best shot.
Having some major time mismanagement now, what with mustard seed retreat, and council, and me leaving the country. Hooboyhooboy. And work!
Excuse me, it's December already, where ees my holiday?
Anw, today aft council and work, met up with Ade and Pe and Lynn for lunchies at TP then went with them to the library to mug. That was the initial plan, but I was too tired and zonking out while walking so I decided to go home first and I slept. Like a log. Haha.
Heal fast, eyebags.
