Much much much ado!
Yet another busybusy week, with less than 7 days to h1 and GP. BLEGH. Anyway, here's another shoutout:
Happy belated 18th birthday, Momma Chua! (Ah Beng)
My HOD of Liturgy, with all his cool, calm and collected lameness - hope you have a eclectically enjoyable day(s) with your amazing friend. Momma is so blur. He didn't even realise that we were deviously scheming the best way to exit the library to cut cake, despite it being supervised self-study since we no longer have any CA activities. Yes, I believe that only he and James were effectively engaged in the mugging process. So nearing 6pm, we "sneaked" out (in full view of Momma) trying not to arise suspicion to the canteen, where the cake was set up before we called him out. Then it was merrymerry singing and much galore before we headed back for nightstudy. Omg nightstudy this time is so cool can. There's actually a 15 minute break where parent volunteers distribute free milo and get this: donut factory donuts, slabs (not slices) of pandan cake, and tortilla meat wraps from Olio's. It's so amazing I swear(Blasphemy). Pity I can't stay back any more days. And like what Clare was saying, I think it's super ironic that councillors have supervised self study.
Environmental Week by CI was a relative success -with engaging publicity in the mornings (one of them involved Brother watering a pottted plant to mark the opening of 3logy), freecycling (which saw 2 of my 500ml bottles disappearing from the SCC, thanks to Ms Camslut who won first place for her "outstanding" efforts) and not forgetting the blood sweat and paint (Rina accidentely got paint on her skirt while painting) of the CI wingers. Good job, guys(:
Not forgetting the highlight of this week: Literary Evening! It was the bomb, and I truly mean. No other historically apt place as fitting as The Arts House (formerly Old Parliament House) at 6pm. Obviously everyone (except me) looked fabulously astounding in their pretty frocks, fitted pants, and willowy hair. Mrs Hoe was so sweet, she actually bought us each a rose. Isn't that sweet. We arrived early even though it was already 6 and just hung around waiting for everyone to turn up. The presentations were awesome, no really. I especially enjoyed Morning Glory, for its concept of a play within a play and stunning overrall cast singing (they had choir girls) and the very engaging abrupt cut by their "director". Equally entertaining was t13's multimedia production cum parody of the books, with catchy Lenina-licious tunes and high culture ballet. There was also an external performance from Wessex Theatre, who did an excerpt from their Shakespeare on Love (refer to previous post), the really funny one which I enjoyed watching.
But of course, with all my Eleven bias, congratulations dear ELEVEN! THIRD FOR PRESENTATION- A GILLEADIAN LULLABY! I'm so proud of everyone who chipped in to write the poem, edit the slides and music and recite the poem; now we have something to brag about!:D The walk back to City Hall was really fun, we went crazy singing the number one hit single Amazing Grace (private joke) and took pretty pictures on the steps of Supreme Court, which looked positively romantic amidst the radiant lights of the Esplanade and the Eye at night. Although we really thought we were going to kena attack by a group of teenagers due to some carelessly blurted racist remarks (looks pointedly at a certain classmate) and were considering the defence potential of a thorny rose, it was really hilarious all the way back to City Hall. Had a pit stop at Mos (!!) where we bumped into quite alot of CJCians (seniors and current batch), before taking the train home. I guess it wasn't so bad after all, despite my initial nervous because of my incompetence at social events and dolling up. Nonetheless, I am still a tad unhappy that I missed IJ Fiesta as I haven't gone back in a million years, metaphorically speaking.
Still dreading the flurry of Winged Time, for it would signal Mrs Hoe's departure. The scrapbook is screaming for attention on my desk, together with all the clippings and stickers and photos I have yet to paste in.
Hope mama is doing fine in Vietnam, my turn would come soon with Batam. Anyway, I was deleting my sms-es during the ride to City Hall, and I couldn't help but laugh at the fond memories of some of the messages.

Quote from Ade's blog:
"Never underestimate the pain of a person because the truth is everyone is struggling. It's just that some people hide it better than others."
What a very accurate grain of truth, Ade(:
Thank you everyone who have knowingly/unknowingly cheered me up this week. I'm starting to feel happy after such a long time, and I hope it's not jinxed like all other aspects of my life.
