Been running around alot, attending interviews and what nots and running household errands. Surprisingly it can be quite tiring compared to a school day's work. Physically. Now I am nursing a slight fever haha and I need to go down to JL tomorrow. Hopefully they will not be taken aback by my sudden hoarse voice or slow lag time. Haha. And I totally busted my outgoing messages today! 52 la Ohmytian. I am so not messaging anyone redundantly for the next weeks, so I can save it for the new year.
English tuition, anybody?

“I have learned that there are some battles that aren’t worth fighting even if you win; and there are other battles that must be fought even if you lose. But, I don’t like to lose. And so I pick my fights carefully, because while I can do anything, I can not do everything.”
Travis Smiley
Such an inspirational quote - came across it while researching for the essay topic. Well, what can I say, it's been one busy christmas bee week with many moments out of the house, incurring the wraths of my parents. Haha. Last week's KL trip was goodgood, I think I walked a HELL lot but at least it hopefully burned away the excess calories consumed from eating out. Food was good -managed to try the Starbucks' Christmas Nut Latte, Orange Julius drinks, roadside hawker seafood, Mata Kuching. The guys watched the new movie The Day The Earth Stood Still while the girls went shopping, because they were getting bored. Sheesh. Oh and for once, I got an EVEN tan at the pool. Trip was okay la overall, didn't really buy much except stuff for CA and class gathering. And when I finally reached home on Thu night after the call taxi incident, I realised I miss job training for Smiles! ): MAN, but at least I woke up late on Friday.
Friday was CA gathering! In the morning went to apply for banquet waitressing with Carmen and ML but no more vacancy I VEH SAD. So came back home, showered and sent out email replies before going back to City Hall AGAIN and uh, quite late also. SORRY! Haha the incoming calls were CRAZY. First Nadine called while I was ironing to say that she was gna be late, then James said he was late (by a few seconds LOL), then Majella called me a beetch cos I wasn't on the train yet, and Mama texted to say I was "not early", before Shan called. Argh! Haha. Oh but in the end, we still effectively met up at 6plus cos Audrey and Shan came after work. And we ate at Soup Spoon just to spite Majella! Haha. Then went to catch the Agapella performance (An Upbeat Christmas) at the Esplanade who were this Christian group or working adults from various churches! How cool is that! And they were really awesome, James went to get the CD too. Then we took loads of crazy videos before coming back home.
Saturday was Mustard Seed -AGM for electing commitee 2009 and tokens of appreciation for the current memberzxz. I injured my finger HAHA NOOB from assembling the photo frames and after that I started typing funny on my keypad on MSN.
Monday, after Marina Square I had to CHIONG back to church cos Cheryl was waiting to do the Christmas video with Sarah. Then went back home to change to cycling clothes and met them at the VERY HARD TO FIND COFFEESHOP (they made me get lost in my own neighbourhood!) and had chicky rice before we cabbed down to ECP. Sarah, Michael, Mark and I. And the guys were being idiots and trying to scare me by sandwiching me between their bicycles and swerving suddenly in front of me with their smug faces. Beeetches. Sarah was more interested in camwhoring HAHA. After which we went to Ice Cream Chef! (: Nice ambience and the ice cream is quite good as well. Then turned up late for Carolling with the church peeps at the first house in Toa Payoh, asked alot of people along the way for directions because I how blur. I thought carolling was a good experience, because they are all a friendly bunch and really hospitable company even though I don't really know them, and the songs were great too!
Tuesday was Pepe's birthday! Happy 18th dear (: Sorry I couldn't make it down, but I'm sure you had a great time at Soup Spoon and the presents all. I went for CLASS GATHERING today at Deborah's place! Turned out we were all late HAHA, we were supposed to meet at 630 but effectively only went to her place around 8. Awesome house! So we just ate the really yummy food, and watched Little Nyonya on Channel 8 while waiting for the last visitor. And played Secret Santa omg I think mine is an absoulute godsend, been needing a diary cum notebook and the one I got looks perfect!
Merry Christmas to everyone -celebrate it in the good company of friends and family, spread the goodwill and have a wonderful festive season (:

HAPPY FABULOUSLY ELATED NOT SO BELATED 18TH BIRTHDAY TO MR TIONG NGEE DERK! (:
Hope you really have a wonderful birthday back home with family, and the well wishes of your friends. Thanks for always being the voice of reason, moderator, and for our enlightening conversations!
Friday was at Michael's place, after the tuition thing with Carmen. I learnt how to play Guitar Heroes! Haha. And thanks Guanwen, for your keychain! I actually like some of the old rock songs (: Prawns overload this week already. Must stay off in the future.
I'm a sentimental freak. Keep having sorts of escapades moments in my head, snuggled under my blanket and my favourite pillow. And somehow don't think of you anymore.
And I am CRAVING for a Ramly Burger, at the pasar malam downstairs. Truly, my estate is like New York - it never sleeps.
Went for a run just now - really refreshed and rejunvenated! I think I should exercise more often, after accumulating all the fats from A levels heh. Okay set I totally need a regime. Now.
Getting to know you session #1.

Hello people, I'm officially back from my UBIN trip with Mustard Seed - tanned, aching muscles (omg i have muscles!), and spiritually revived! (: Even though I was internally panicking that logistics, games and sessions were still half done a week to the retreat, I think it was truly divine intervention from God as always that made everything posssible, and even enjoyable. Carol you got your wish - it was fun and yet fruitful! Some of the highlights of the trip included the awesome chalet next to the sea (we actually had steps leading down to the shore which were visible during low tide), the tame dogs and puppy and kittens which were named by Sarah haha, the make shift BBQ where we ended up burning the metal table oops, and the CYCLING cum FISHING in UBIN experience which was so ownage as well! Despite my noob-ness at cycling, the guys were really super helpful whenever I screamed going downslope (mind you it was rocky terrain and mountain bikes tend to go really fast), saw oncoming cyclists in my path and yeah screwed up my bicycle chain. Ryan, Shawn and Maurice were really nice to actually stop and fix it for me with all the grease and muck. THANKS YOU GUYS (: Besides all the fun and the soreness thereafter, even the camp sessions were really beneficial for me I guess - Apologetics was just as thought provoking and I learnt so much of stuff! And omg on the last day, when I impromptu-ly joined them for dinner after evening mass, Mustard Seed surprised me with a cake ((: we were at the ban-mian coffeeshop all eating dinner, when suddenly Maurice and Carol disappeared and came back with a cake and lit candles. And everyone burst into song and all it was so just sweet (:
So yes, THANK YOU Carol, Maurice, Shawn, Sean, Lester, Marko, Polo, Alexandria, Ian, Sarah, Ryan, Lionel for making this such a truly memorable retreat. Seriously.
On Monday I woke up to my ELATED NOT SO BELATED EIGHTEENTH! ((: It was a quiet rainy morning, those perfect ones where you just want to snuggle up in front of the TV - so that's what I did, watching Daddy Day Care. Then around 1 thereabouts I went to meet Marie! And she was being mysteriously suspicious hahaha, when she said we weren't gg Novena but somewhere in TP. So we went upstairs to Pizza Hut - and OhMyTian I had a birthday surprise from the Councillors and 7-11!!! Omg it was like Carmen, Marie, Toon, Matt and Guin, Joel, Majella, T Lo, Clarisse, Ade, Pepe, Clara, Lynn!!! And yeah it was really heart warming to meet everyone - hear them burst into song, presenting me with sunflowers (thank you Mr Foo and Majella), presentssss! (thank you everybody!) and refusing to let my pay for my meal. HAHA! After which some of us (T Lo, Joel, majella and I) went down to j8 to catch BOLT which is surprisingly good and not kiddy for an animated film. After the movie, we hung around for awhile before I went out with my family and uncle to eat at Tuk Tuk Thai Restaurant along Katong, which has really fresh prawns and creamy desserts! And walked along ECP before heading home.
And now, a word from our sponsors. Haha, need to thank all the ppl who either texted/msn/called me to wish me:
Family: Extended aunts, grandmother, mom's friends, cousin sister, and uncle!
Friends: (I think this is probably the longest list haha my inbox is so filled)
GuanWen, Michael, Joel, Nadine, Ellice, Vidya (who apparently had to keep checking the time while buried in her assignments, and she gave me the whole Vaaranam Aayiram soundtrack!), Clarisse, Liselle, Yinting and Jacq's affirmations, Nirasha, Aiming and Kathy, Bhart, Anu from UPTLC ( I sat next to her during Tamil and we talked alot of nonsense), primary school best friend Sam, Carol and Sarah and Bernie, Clare whom we bumped into in the MRT, Andrew Standard! Valerie who was working and couldn't make it down, FRIPPIAT from the Philippines, FISHY who apparently msged me at 2am hahaha, Jaslyn, Salameh, and even Mrs Hoe who was in vacation in HK (it's her birthday too!)
Derk who called me from Malacca right before I was leaving:
Uh...aren't you supposed to be at Pizza Hut or something with all of them?
Uh....what, u mean seriously!
Uh...okay, oops I don't think you are supposed to know that. Shit.
Mr Foo who called at midnight (:
It was such as AWEomgSOME day thanks to all of you guys and I really love all of you! :D Special thanks to Marie and Mr Foo, for coordinating the entire thing - oh gosh. And above all, to the Man who is up there and can't be moved HAHAH aka GOD! Despite losing my faith, being disillusioned and challenged this whole year, he guided back the lost sheep which went astray. Truly amazing, what life can teach you.
She is your tomorrow, you are her today.

Honestly, I really have to start sleeping earlier if I want those ugly eye bags to clear up. Ubin trip is on Friday, I have yet to settle logistics, transport and session, I haven't packed my bag, and omg my face is acting up again ):
This week was mindblowing and within my Budget too. Everyone looks awesome in their pretty picturesque prom pictures (aha! alliteration) and it's so beautiful so everyone dressed up and all quaint in their outfits. Part of me still wished I could go, but hey at least my sources are reliable hahaha and I still got to see everyone. On Tuesday, I aliased with Aunty Susan and surprised Boubou at her house after she got back from prom! OMG (: She totally didn't expect the visit, but what do you know, her mother gives pretty clear directions it was such a breeze finding my way.
" Eh? EH! Omg. OMG. OMG! Wha-- Jocelyn?! Maaaaa, did you have anything to do with it?"
" Of course not"
"No wonder you prepared such an elaborate lunch la!"
Such a gracious hostess. She practically fattened me up with her meatballs, fish fillet, chicken, mango sorbet, endless supply of fruit juice and a hell lot of FOOD GLORIOUS FOOD. Oliver Twist would have been so jealous. So we conversed for a long while at the table, seeing oh how my eating habits usually take more than an hour. Then went down to the poolside to chill and lounge around, while BB called Carmen who cabbed down. Yeah so we chatted for the longest time ever in her dark bedroom for hours under the comforting pitter patter of the raindrops on her window. Before once again, gracious hostess absolutely insisted on dinner before sending us off. With homemade bouquets of flowers @.@ ! Such a sweetheart, just like her (:
Today went down to IJ in the morning for Jac's video with the CLASSS. Most of them were late. HAHA. Quite a nice turnout, everyone had their uniforms, and Mr Yap and Mrs Fam actually acted for us in the video! Joyy. It was quite surreal seeing everyone in their usual sitting positiongs and uniforms, almost as though we had never left the school goodness. So toured the school a bit- the indoor netball court is marvellous! Pity we couldn't enter. And I got to keep the pinafore (for now). So lunched at KFC as a class <3 Then dispersed.
Met mum in town today for a little bit of pre celebration shopping haha. Feels quite guilty when she kept offering to buy this and that, and it was way above the Budget. And I personally know her reluctance to go anywhere else but home after her work. So yeah thanks to the family! (: We walked around Shaw, Tangs, then to PS, then MRT-ed to Hub where we had BK for dinner with the family. Then to Macs for desert. I consumed enough calories today and yesterday for a lifetime.
Alright, off to sleep to clear away those horrible eye rings/bags. I'm still a little upset that I had to cancel on Prass oh well another time love!
P.S Yesterday my phone bill officially exploded. I think I used up all my free outgoing already lor. My ears and neck hurt from the hour long conversations already haha.
P.P.S. Jason enlisted today ): I still have yet to read his book The Diving Bell and The Butterfly. And tmr Frippiat is leaving ): Then Derk on Sunday omgg.
