So I officially ended work yesterday as a cashier at John Little Orchard, sorry for keeping you "in the dark" so long Sash! (: Most of the temporary staff ended a day earlier than me so on Sunday everyone was hanging out in the pantry and I lunched with the familiar faces. I made new friends! Li Si from level 5 is really a gem of a girl, she was one of the first few who said hey how you doing and she invited me to lunch with them during break - we ended up waiting for each other until we only had 5 minutes in the pantry to eat oh dear :/ and I tell you the water cooler in the pantry is TEMPERAMENTAL. I sprayed my face by accident trying to get a drink that day.
Last few days were pretty eventful for me and I'm sure more so for the other temp staff like Syafiq and Li Si - I had my personal encounter of Difficult Customers 101 because they bought a mother lot of cosmetics and wanted it delivered on a particular day at a particular time during which Singpost does not operate or smth, plus their luggage they ordered only arrives sometime this week. To make things worse, they came back saying that I gave them a wrong discount which I admit I did, so I had to refund them back plus redo the entire transaction again. Lucky for me, the gallant knight Syafiq arrived when I called level 5 to help me out, and he took over from there.

Oh and on Sunday, I had Long-winded Customer 101 at my counter, who practically opened every single travel accesory available, then changed her mind and I had to refold/pack/store it back in its prior condition. She then proceeded to stand right next to me while I scanned the items (instead of opposite me, which is rightfully where she should be) and asked for separate receipts for 200dollars worth of cosmetics and supplements and I wonderfully forgot to swipe her rebate card. So REDO. Omg i wanted to die. I called up the other levels and I think the perm staff who came down was annoyed like a chicken wing. But I think I count myself lucky, cos once again Sherwin and Syafiq came down to help out and things were much better. I wouldn't consider her annoying or anything, because she wasn't unreasonable in any way, and she thanked me after that plus she didn't mind waiting for reinforcements so ya.
Li Si encounted Monster Customer while reliefing me at luggage, he was pretty nasty judging from her shaken demeanour and it was her last day too ): I felt really bad for her - I know I'm in no place to judge but I hope karma works it way through.
Last day was pretty quiet, Expo staff still not back yet and only 3 remaining temp staff. But it was exciting cos I kept having to relief level 5 and 4 while people were busy and I got oranges from the managers! (: Plus I lunched with Aunty Su, and when my shift offically ended, eveyone was like giving me the usual advice of study hard aim high and stuff. And I got to talk to Sherwin about our common experiences working in the super slack section of all so it ended on a good note (:

I kinda miss the retails hours, actually. I thought I overslept today till 1pm but it was actually 9am haha. But I was too exhausted to do anything much although my week is busy like a bee till I start on the new job next week. Hopefully I can sort out church stuff and the ij things as well, plus sort out the wardrobe for work.
