Judging by the way I'm spending my moolah like water from a jetspray, I actually kind of miss my worklife. Short as it was when relatively compared to the 8month break that I had, I sort of liked earning money and clocking in unproductive time because I know I'm getting paid. Now that I'm not working (mom for some reason, is highly against Ritz because of the shifts) and have to rely on my tutoring skills, I just hope my cashflow can last me till end year at least.
So, just for a brief update of this week.
As usual, alot of things happened (gosh, whatevere happened to my lower secondary days?): Driving driving took up the bulk of the week, technically I'm supposed to be progressing but I'm afraid my learning curve is er not too exponential atm. I don't blamy sir for being so exasperated at me, I mean I really am starting to believe I'm a blonde without the looks - stalling at redlights, burning my accelerator lining whaaattt, not checking my blindspots - I can only gulp at the sort of road menace I'm going to be, at 20km/h. And so darn expensive they are!
And tuition this week, got me all annoyed like mad. Unpredictable schedules are so difficult to work with, I hate it when I have to pangseh and cancel on people when I could have gone for events in the first place! Parents please be more considerate, I am after all only a freshie university undergrad trying to fund my monthly expenses. Apprehension sort of looms overhead at my already hectic days aheaed, and this is even before module bidding? HELLO CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN TO ME WHAT IS THAT. ANd people have already done their bidding! :O
Went out with Reggaereggae on Tuesday! Even though it was sort of a whole day thing, only met them super late in the evening for a few rounds at Mindcafe and then for the movie Obsessed at Cathay thereafter. She is super hot! I must recommend to Sash to watch HAHA. Then met up with Zijun! for cookies and chatchat before heading home (bumped into Nikki at Dhoby)
Thursday was mamapapa time! (: I was so excited because I hardly get one-on-one time with my mamapapa nowadays. We went to Billy Bombers to eat those 1-for-1 offers which was pretty worth it. After countless times of sore throats from uber fried foods, opting for non-fried non-crispy items is totally worth it because you can actually taste the food and you don't fall ill! (super pleased beam). Then we went shopping (: And got this super gorgeous comfy tee letmeshowittoyou next time.
Friday was by far, one of the most tiring days after Tuesday. Watched a really hilarous movie at home, before meeting Frippiat at Dhoby for some treasuretrovetime at the most unlikeliest of places. Psstt secret. Then the usual htht while walking around Daiso, and Carmen joined us after for lunch (soft of) at Mos before BugisBugis <33 And I bought a tremendous truckload of clothes, which I guess was pretty surprising for me because I hardly used to be so impulsive, and I spent like XXX in a day?! Amazing. And I was so tempted walking around, that I sort of hoped tuition would be cancelled? And gues what! I think Jesus was listening in, cos my hp rang and she cancelled! Omg. So more happy walking around before training back and bussing to Fuel. Session last night was good, and Carmen's translation of the Chinese text that I got from Audrey was even better:
"EH Audrey asked you to bring 5 loaves and 2 fishes!"
Then caught up with the usual laugh/chat/makan over supper before I came home, a wonderfully exhausted girl.
P.S I'm incredibly guilty for pangsehing on Jason today, for the dunno how many time. I'm going to burn in hell already :/
Note to self: Getting too dehydrated from not lugging around water! Get bigger bag!
Next week is going to super busy again. Contray to Yu Pei's insinuations I don't consider myself busy. It just so happens that alot of things can happen during a certain period, and there can be times when I'm not even doing much for 2 weeks. Soft of like clearance sales and normal retail times. GSS ending! ): Okay curb spending curb spending.
Beyond my wants, beyond my fears.

Pretty slack this week has been for me. Not much inspiration to get out and get fit, starvation diets during camps are the way to go man. Tuition on Wednesday and Thursday, I detest how she always cancels on me nearing payup time. Mom politics. Boo. I need to start studying my driving better, lest I fail TTT again :/ Friday had a really heartening start to the morning though, it's amazing how people always seem to get plenty of second chances. Let's hope for no more screw ups this time, though change can be painstakinly slow at times.
Friday was funky Bugis time (: Having rarely being in that vicinity, poor old Moss was almost lost in the mall, until Frippiat came up shouting rather unglamourously ( had my shuffle plugged in). We walked about aimlessly in Cold Storage before joining Nikki at Soup Spoon. I was super full from my Indian lunch of BATTURA so I just had a drank. Shanshan joined us (aptly refered to as Incredibly Shrinking Shan ahaha) later and we amazingly talked about plenty of stuff for about 2 hours before deciding to embark on our journey to The Street for our bargains. Free Yami Yoghurt <3
Bugis purchases consisted of watches(?) bags and shoes for the 4 of us. Most probably going back again some time to finish uni shopping before GSS ends.
As for church, yeah I think I may be going back finally, even though something tells me I might get sucked into a vortex I've been trying to avoid since this year started.
Let God show the way! (:
Oweek Precamp 09

I'm afraid I can't reveal too much on the world wide web (damn you habit of self-censorship) but all I can say is,
Whoa. How great thou art, Ruku Birds. Haha.
Precamp was a good opportunity for me to meet more people and make more friends, since the bulk of my OGmates weren't present. Apparently we are all extremely busy people with schuedules that might disgrace the likes of Obama. Day 1 was the usual icebreakers and random games we played, alot of running around here and there, getting exceptionally soapy and wet and of course, a certain tendency for accidents. It's almost as though I give our personal namecards to Bruises and Trips - I have already accumulated a steady following of mismatched cuts, scars and grazes namely on my legs and elbows because I am ohsoclumsy. Like Day 1, when I EPIC FAIL walked around in soapy slippers and decided to sprint. WHAM FLAT on my face, nice going Jocelyn. Had a major graze on my knee and my part of my nail broke. Haha. This time, I managed to bond more with alot of new faces and people hthts over lunch and dinner is quite heart-warming yuppers.
Day 2 was actually heaps better because of outdoor games yeah mun yeah mun (: And Sentosa <3 Can't complain that I've never been there, because I went thrice in a month already haha. Even though it was super inconvenient to play yesterday it was still fun watching others get dunked/wet. Hope to play more during Oweek! And I totally loved the htht over "dinner" at Vivo amphi, where I finished my 1 litre of appple juice heh.
Wednesday to Friday is probably burnt with tuition, church and probably the farewell (yet another) over the weekend. Now I have to get my hands on a decent recipe for a salad for Friday.
Sunday Mayhem.

11:25 PM
I am totally hyped up about precamp tmrw! :D Apart from the mystery of my missing thermometer, and my exceptionally underpacked bag (I'm not even bringing track shoes) I think it's gg to be...Fabulous.
This week I felt a mixture of emotions, probably God's way of making me feel alive. Let's start with;
Anger
Superbly pissed kinda anger, the sort I rarely feel. I think Tuesday was a terribly fked up day. Seriously. Because of the incompetency of people. Because of the pressure that I'm always subject to despite people being aware of my problems. I honestly feel that ppl, even if they can't help me out, should at least be compassionate and give me some time to sort things out. Instead, they just sit around and wait for someone else to do the job. Still can't believe I told someone off.
Nostalgia
Felt it when I went back for Hearts on Fire last night at CJ PAC "auditorium" haha. I didn't know about the toilets on either side of the PAC! Noobnoob. I kind of miss the English speaking environment of CJ alot, where jokes did not have to be translated from another language just so I can understand. Rally was awesome (: I never felt so peaceful this year after healing. I'm totally going for the next rally.
Accomplishment
Because Project Marie is finally completed! (: After so long, and that too with missing alphabets sigh.
Happiness
Because I met alot of dear people this week (: Dinner with Carmen and a nice 2 hour talk thereafter on Tuesday. Met Frippiat on Friday! Then Joel, Audrey, Andrew at Fuel. Salim on Saturday morning, and Terence, Marie in the evening. I met alot of old IJ seniors too! Pretty cool to catch up in those 5 minutes. Oh, and special apperance by Jaclyn in my dreams, fourth time already. Tmr I'm be seeing Shanshan again!
And the ever-recurrent, apprehension
I'm such a worry wart, so obviously this time I'm uncertain about Uni! Like what to major in, what CCAs to join, what to take part in, the friends I'd make. I just hope God will teach me to be more sociable! I'm so awfully quiet sometimes ppl think something is wrong.
Okay, needa catch some sleep before long week ahead. God, please be with me and may I be more open about things that come my way (:

was spectacular spectacle! Kudos to WY who abused his NS status to get us all tickets into Green Sector haha. Saturday was a superbly packed day for me, woke up at 7am OMG I was running late for Neri's farewell so cabbed to Changi Airport where I managed to see her! (: Then it was off for breakfast at Mac's with the Montfort Boys (aka Joel Andrew FBF) and Frippiat dear - we had a really interesting conversation on Gender Studies and the Art of making Conversation, pretty enlightening YUP. Really badly wanted to catch Transformers with that bunch BUT whaddya know, tuition was rescheduled earlier so trained back home instead.
After tuition, went home to grab some red clothes before I met Reggae at City Hall. So good to see everyone looking definitely more glam that our camp attire! Then had this super humid walk over to the bay. Met Beans and Joel there too! The show was pretty good I must say, being in such close contact with all the military equipment and seeing the mightly propellers thrash and splash the bay waters was awesomeee. Yeah man yeah man! And I thought the kids segment on their dreams and wishes was kind of heart warming too. Preview ended at about 8plus, Reggae waited around for awhile before they dinner-ed at Timber so left for home earlier.
Today is Phoebe's farewell at airport, so leaving soon. I want to be involved in Rag and Oweek! (: Uni suddenly seems so exciting, and we haven't even started yet.
Reggae, Redio! <3

4:18 PM
I just got back from NUS Arts Camp 2009 on Wednesday night - which was truly mindblowing and such a wonderful experience for me! (: Each of the 5 days that I spent there from Saturday to Wed was super packed with loads of activities that had us dashing across campus and the west of singapore, with sleeping time crammed to about 2-3 hours per night, but it was totally worth everything (: I hope I can regurgitate as much as my simpleton mind can recall, so that this will be a favourite entry of mine.
Day 1
A highly comical start in the morning. Stole a ride from Shan's mom to NUS, where she was positively certain that Eusoff Hall was at Yusof Ishak there, and insisted that we alight there. .__. Shan shan shan. So we walked over to Eusoff Hall, running a little late. I was in OG Reggae! And Ben and Germaine were our OGL and AOGL. Redio redio woo <3 nus =" National">Day 2
We had Photo Hunt in the morning so we were out it the open being a public menace. Haha. Went to west coast plaza, queensway and hollandv for the bulk of the day, before coming back to learn rag dance which was zomg complicatedz I dance like I got two left feet. After which we totally RUSHED through editing our Angels and Demons video ( damn lame, POferati what the beans) in under half an hour. Kudos to Ben who was cursing and swearing the entire time he chionged our cool video! Then we had some house time before we had our first secret pal session haha which was quite erm, funny. Because we were blindfolded and had to strictly refer to each other by our nicknames, and had to do the obstacle course and play musical cardboard in our blind states. Then the House I/Cs were mysteriously "kidnapped" so we had to play more station games to rescue them. My house I/Cs are really funny! (: Non stop entertainment 101. Then our OG had suppersupper time, but I was already queasy from the annoying medication but it was still fun yes yes.
Day 2
Photo hunt around West Coast Plaza, Queensway and Holland V for the bulk of the day! Snapped pretty funny pictures here and there, created a rackus on public transport and lunched at Subway! Then came back to campus to learn Rag dance which was omg complicated haha, especially when you have 2 left feet that is not cool at all. But it was still quite funny. We rushed through the entire Angels and Demons, kudos to our OGL Ben who put his superb video editing skills to use on the Macbook and finished it within half an hour including burning time. WOW. Oh, then we had SP time which was pretty amusing - each couple to be seated with their hands tied and blindfolded, and to talk to each other, referring to each other only by our nicknames. Kinda funny. My "SP" was quite nice la, I think we are very different in nature. Then did some obstacle courses and musical cardboard before we joined our OGs for some station games around campus at night to rescue our "kidnapped" House ICs Ivan and Cass.
Day 3
Food Hunt at Vivo and Beach Day! Spent late morning walking around Vivo buying random food items and our lunch before we headed over to Palawan Beach for our Beach Games heh heh. The weather was really horrid to us, it rained the entire time we were there so sad! ): But nothing could beat the excitment of being in a house where we purposely dunked straight into the water the moment they offfically started, and cheering and wildly splashing each other. The bulk of the games were pretty wild and dirty, ie Couple Pail Game, Rolling on the Sand Game. But yes the inter-house tug of war game was like they said, pretty emotional for us one can taste the tension (ha ha) in the air. Due to the bad weather, our trip to the beach was cut short so we headed back to EH for some OG time instead. OG girls had a ride back from our very nice senior! It was abit sad though that two of my OG mates had to leave for home because of spine problems and contact lenses -meaning I slept alone for one night. The warm shower was truly a godsend after such a freezing day and OG time was funky man! We had secret night activtiesz heh heh slept at 330am by the time we were done.
Day 4
Tuesday was sort of the last day of wet and dirty games so we gave it our all! Sports Games in the day - running around SRC and engaging in friendly matches (one of the Eagle and Chicken matches was so friendly we ended up camwhoring halfway hahaha). The only sad part was my phone which could not be revived after water accidently spilled into the bag so I currently don't have all your numbers people! Must self-intro when you message me k! Yup I really had tons of fun being a Merlion, rolling up slope and dunking my hand into bins of unspeakable content. And War Games! Yes yes highlight, I was intitally very scared when we were about to play because I had intended to just throw water bombs but Irene was like,
"Aiya, girls got no aim one, you hold the board, ask the boys to throw water bombs!"
Bad idea. I was right at the frontline of the strategy games which had ALL GUYS in front haha oh my tian right, I ended up with people aiming for my face instead so I was entirely drenched but HURRAH HURRAH our board was empty and dry (: Then after all the excitement, we cheeredandcheered before dinner and having "personal hygiene time" haha before we went to the club at night. Bus there was super delayed I think we only reached at 10 plus? But it was still a spectacular night I must say. I was too sleepy already by the time we came back, I think someone drank my teh peng for supper ): Because my friend told me to rest but she forgot to wake me up. Tsk.
Day 5
Last day! ): So sad camp came to an end so fast. I was pretty surprised to see Ratna in the morning! She came back with donuts somemore okayy so niceee. I must have slept pretty well the entire night because I didn't realise what time it even was when I got up. Breakfast with Secret Pal! Not so secret anymore huh. Turned out I talked to a different guy on the second night! Because he was a councillor just temporarily replacing. And my SP and I have mutual friends! Singapore is such a small world. He got me a pretty nice notebook because he heard from the other guy I liked to read and write. But so sad for the mystery of the fake SP! ): He seemed pretty nice too! Last day was basically alot of talks and propaganda from the other camps so far Soci seems super cool. But I'd be coming for O week yes yes (: AND GUESS WHAT, REGGAE WON THE BEST VIDEO! So we got iPod shuffles OKAY action number 2 to ben! After all the emotional thank you speeches by the various seniors, we ended at about 4 plus after which Reggae went to Sushi Tei at Vivo for dindin! (:
Pictures on Facebook for the curious minds! I <3 Reggae and R house to bits!
Hopefully I can join them for NDP preview over the weekend but I have plans too! ): My days are starting to get socially packed haha. Yesterday I went for med checkup at UHC after which I showed Kathy around campus. Then it was tuition time before I had a nice friendly chat with my dearest classmates on the phone, I really hope they can make it for O week too! (:
Okay too many exclamation marks, I better be going off for Fuel!
